Q. I have a sore throat. I'm not thirsty, it doesn't hurt when I pee, I am kind of tired, but that's probably because I didn't get much sleep last night. My question is, are sore throats a symptom diabetes?

What are the symptoms for diabetes?
Q. My dad and grandma both have diabetes and it's in my genes. I just wanted to know what the symptoms for diabetes are.

A. fatigue
sudden, unexplained weight loss
blurry vision
frequent urination / bed wetting
extreme thirst, constant no matter how much you drink
skin infections (boils, etc.)
swollen ankles
slow healing sores

They can also take an average blood sugar level reading (using dead blood cells mixed in with your regular blood) in a test called HBA1C.
