Athlete wth undiagnosed & untreated type 1 diabetes decides 2 enter for either a 100metre sprint or a marathon?

Q. Which sport is most suitable for him? Why it is suitable and the other isn't?

Plz note: the question is all about diabetes

A. If he's undiagnosed and untreated, the information won't do him any good, but neither one is suitable.

A sprint contains more anaerobic exercise than aerobic and creates temporary insulin resistance, which might raise blood sugar.
A slower run is more aerobic exercise and will, at least for the first hour or so, increase insulin sensitivity, which might lower blood sugar, although by the end of the race, it may be veering into more anaerobic activity.

However: being short on insulin in the way that undiagnosed and untreated type 1 diabetics are is like being on your way to DKA, and exercise- particularly vigorous exercise- is likely to make that go faster. Also, the undiagnosed diabetic is likely to be severely dehydrated and unable to get energy from the carbohydrates needed to make a race a good idea.

Very early on in the disease, the marathon might be more suitable, because it might, at least initially, lower blood sugar. But this would only work for somebody who starts out with a blood sugar that is only somewhat high, and who is making a serious amount of insulin.
Exercise causes the body to burn fat -yes? This produces ketones. Ketones are fine at low levels. Problem is, you need insulin to get rid of ketones, and when they build up, they can cause all sorts of nasty symptoms. Such as difficulty breathing, coma, and death.

I am an unusual person in that my diabetes was symptomatic for about a year and a half before I became mostly symptomatic of ketosis, and another month passed between my mother noticing ketosis symptoms and my being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.
Long walks (roughly 15 miles) were still making my symptoms better up until about three months before I was diagnosed, some of the time. However, there were a number of times when I tried to walk or run and fell down out of sheer exhaustion and dizziness and only barely managed to stay conscious. I was playing with fire and I just didn't know it.

Can someone help me with slogan and tshirt idea?
Q. So my school is holding a diabetes awareness day we want to make tshirts. I need some creative mind to come up with some sort of cool idea to put on the tshirt and a slogan to go with it. The idea is focusing around "conquer diabetes" or something around those lines, but all in all its just about diabetes awareness.
